FAQ’S
Every Rainbow journey starts with a conversation. If you don't see your question here, contact us and we'll connect you with someone from your local Assembly.
-
Absolutely!
Many girls join Rainbow without knowing a single person. Before long, you'll find yourself surrounded by girls who cheer you on, encourage you, and become lifelong friends.
-
Rainbow is here to be a part of your life - not compete with it. You decide how involved you'd like to be, and your Assembly understands that school, family, and other commitments come first.
But don’t be surprised when you hear the line “you get out of Rainbow what you put into it!”
-
That's okay!
Many Rainbow Girls are shy when they first join. You won't be expected to jump into everything right away. As you get comfortable, you'll naturally gain confidence, try new things, and discover strengths you didn't know you had.
-
That's exactly why Rainbow exists.
Some girls join because they already enjoy leading. Others join because they want to become more confident. Rainbow gives every member opportunities to learn, grow, and lead at her own pace. No one expects you to have all the answers before you begin.
-
Sometimes—but don't worry!
You'll never be expected to do more than you're ready for. Rainbow helps you build confidence little by little, and you'll always have people encouraging you along the way. You may even surprise yourself with what you're able to do!
-
Of course!
You're welcome to visit a meeting or event, meet members, ask questions, and see what Rainbow is all about before deciding if it's the right fit for you.
-
No - Rainbow welcomes girls from many different faith backgrounds. You don't have to belong to a specific church or denomination to become a member.
-
Rainbow asks members to believe in a Supreme Being according to their own personal faith or beliefs.
Rainbow doesn't tell you what religion to practice—it simply welcomes girls who have a belief in a higher power.
-
No - Rainbow isn't a secret organization! Some ceremonies are private because they're special traditions that every new member gets to experience for herself. Parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to join in and support.
Our values, service projects, friendships, and community involvement are open for everyone to see.
-
Yes and no. Rainbow was founded with the support of Freemasonry and shares many of its values, including kindness, honesty, respect, service, and leadership.
Today, Rainbow is its own youth organization focused on helping girls grow into confident leaders.
-
Every Assembly sets its own dues and activity costs, so expenses vary.
Rainbow works hard to keep membership affordable, and many Assemblies offer fundraising opportunities or financial assistance if needed.
If cost is ever a concern, talk with your local Assembly. We never want finances to be the reason someone misses out on Rainbow.
-
You don't have to be outgoing, popular, confident, or experienced to belong in Rainbow.
Rainbow isn't looking for girls who already have everything figured out. It's a place where you can discover your strengths, build confidence, make friends, and grow into the person you're meant to be.
Whether you're the one who loves being on stage, the one who prefers working behind the scenes, or you're still figuring out where you fit, there's a place for you here.
The only way to know if Rainbow is right for you is to come visit, meet some members, and experience it for yourself. You might be surprised by how quickly it starts to feel like home!
